Scholarships and Financial Support
Each PhD scholarship offers a gross annual stipend of €16,243, disbursed in equal monthly instalments and inclusive of National Insurance contributions. Additional scholarships may become available through public or private sponsorships during the selection process.
Note: Some externally funded scholarships may require an additional interview aligned with the sponsor’s research focus.
Who Can Apply?
The call is open to candidates of any nationality, with or without age restrictions, who possess one of the following qualifications by the deadline:
- An Italian degree awarded under the pre-D.M. 509/99 system
- An Italian Laurea Specialistica or Laurea Magistrale
- A foreign degree deemed equivalent by the selection committee (documents must be provided in English or Italian translation)
Even candidates who have not yet obtained their degree may apply, provided they graduate by October 31, 2025.
Selection Process
Applicants will undergo a merit-based selection, which includes:
- Evaluation of academic qualifications
- Written and/or oral examinations (see each program’s Annex “A” for details)
- Criteria and interview schedules outlined clearly in the annexed documents
Selection outcomes and rankings will be based on academic performance, research potential, and interview results. In the case of equal rankings, socioeconomic status or disability considerations may apply.
