This project demonstrates IoT-based control of electrical loads such as AC appliances, motor, fan, and light using a Wi-Fi enabled microcontroller. Loads can be turned ON/OFF remotely through a mobile app or web dashboard over the internet.

Main Components Used

  • ESP32 / ESP8266 Wi-Fi Module
    Acts as the brain of the system. It connects to Wi-Fi and receives control commands.

  • 4-Channel Relay Module
    Works as an electrical switch to control high-voltage AC devices safely using low-voltage signals.

  • DC-DC Buck Converter
    Steps down voltage to power the ESP module and relay safely.

  • Loads (Demonstration Units)

    • AC Load

    • Motor

    • Fan

    • Light


How It Works (Simple Flow)

  1. User sends ON/OFF command via mobile app / web interface

  2. Command reaches the ESP32 via Wi-Fi

  3. ESP32 activates the corresponding relay channel

  4. Relay switches the connected electrical load

  5. Device turns ON or OFF instantly
