This project demonstrates IoT-based control of electrical loads such as AC appliances, motor, fan, and light using a Wi-Fi enabled microcontroller. Loads can be turned ON/OFF remotely through a mobile app or web dashboard over the internet.
Main Components Used
-
ESP32 / ESP8266 Wi-Fi Module
Acts as the brain of the system. It connects to Wi-Fi and receives control commands. -
4-Channel Relay Module
Works as an electrical switch to control high-voltage AC devices safely using low-voltage signals. -
DC-DC Buck Converter
Steps down voltage to power the ESP module and relay safely. -
Loads (Demonstration Units)

Light
-
How It Works (Simple Flow)
-
User sends ON/OFF command via mobile app / web interface
-
Command reaches the ESP32 via Wi-Fi
-
ESP32 activates the corresponding relay channel
-
Relay switches the connected electrical load
-
Device turns ON or OFF instantly
